Unveiled in mid-September 2026: “The Kreuzberg Gate”, our new mural at Bergmannstraße 55 in Berlin.

Rising approximately 26 metres high and 15 metres wide, this monumental architectural illusion was created entirely with brushes and paint. Its classical order of columns may recall the Brandenburg Gate, but our main references reach further into history: ancient Greek temples, including the Acropolis and the Temple of Hephaestus. Kreuzberg was never meant to receive a copy; it deserved a gate of its own.

Our client, the long-established stonemasonry company H. Albrecht, wanted the work to reflect the craft of stone carving. We therefore designed a sandstone-coloured gateway with the appearance of an ancient monument. A floating Volkswagen Beetle deliberately disrupts its strict symmetry, introducing a surreal note of motion and surprise.

During production, the mural remained concealed behind scaffolding mesh and was only gradually revealed. Once the scaffolding came down, the effect was dramatic: a previously blank party wall had become a striking architectural landmark in the neighbourhood.
